It’s been a while since we posted any updates of the day to day goings on at Interplanetary Print Syndicate – but we are finally free of the festival madness and have taken an opportunity to look back on some of the interesting prints we’ve done lately. We’re taking care of some (very late!) Spring cleaning today – with the replays of last weekends D1 Playoffs in the background for motivation – so here’s a very roller derby related round up of some of our favourite projects over the past couple of months…
Middlesbrough Roller Derby
First up we have our pals from down south – Middlesborough Roller Derby. Earlier this year Middlesborough rebranded their league, making the switch from Middlesborough Milk Rollers to Middlesborough Roller Derby (apparently in the north of England you call a bread roll a milk roll!). Here is a run of prints we did featuring their ace new logo:
This new Middlesborough merch is really simple and effective. The t-shirts featured here are Gildan Softstyle – a classic choice for any merch as they offer great quality and are really cost effective. These t-shirts feature a two colour split fountain screen print, creating a gradient version of the new Middlesborough logo.
Middlesborough roller derby are Teeside’s original women’s flat track derby league – go check them out via their Facebook page here for all info on their upcoming games and events.
Power Of Scotland
Next up we have Power Of Scotland. Earlier this year we re-designed our original logo for the team, giving them a fresh new look for the next Men’s Roller Derby World Cup, whilst still channeling the Highland Bull from the old logo. Here’s a couple of examples of the new design in action on the last run of merch we printed for them: These garments featured are the popular Gildan Softstyle unisex tees, and ladies tanks. This run of merch is a great example of how effective a simple two colour design can be. Utilising garment colour as part of your design makes a two colour screen print look like a more complicated three colour design. Sticking to classic black and white garments can really help the design stand out.
We also host the official Power of Scotland merch shop! You can get your very own Power Of Scotland t-shirt or tank via the IPS website at the following link: Power Of Scotland Official Merch Shop. All proceeds go towards getting the team to the 2018 Men’s Roller Derby World Cup. You know you want one, you can never have too many roller derby t-shirts.
Power Of Scotland are the national men’s team that represent Scotland at the Men’s Roller Derby World Cup. Check these guys out via their Facebook page here to follow their journey to the 2018 Men’s Roller Derby World Cup in Barcelona!
Stockholm Roller Derby
Ours pals over at Stockholm Roller Derby needed a new run of their classic logo merch for last weekend’s D1 WFTDA Playoffs in Malmö. Here’s a quick look at some super cool hoodies we printed them for the trip:
The hoodies featured here are EP60Z Earth Positive organic hoodies from Continental Clothing, a great choice for a run of merch – they offer really good quality and entirely ethically and sustainably made. These hoodies look bold and sophisticated – featuring a three colour screen printed design.
Stockholm Roller Derby are the original Swedish roller derby league. Check them out via their Facebook page here to follow all of their updates and games.
Helsinki Roller Derby
