It has happened – the festival has arrived. It’s been yet another hectic week at Interplanetary Print Syndicate, as we avoid the Royal Mile at all costs. This week in the studio we have worked on a whole range of fantastic projects – and in particular, with some really great women’s organisations – from women that skate, to women that lift. Here’s a closer look at what we’ve been up to over the last week or so…
Dangerous Women Project
The Dangerous Women Project is an initiative set up by The University of Edinburgh’s Institute of Advanced Studies in the Humanities. Their mission statement is to curate and publish 365 creative responses to the question ‘What does it mean to be a dangerous woman?’ The project is taking place in the year-long period between international Women’s day 2016 – 2017. This is our first run of prints for this project – check out the new tote bags that we just finished for them:
These black tote bags with white print feature the project’s leading question ‘What Does It Mean To Be A Dangerous Woman?’ screen printed on the front, along with the Dangerous Women Project logo on the reverse. Simple and effective – they look totally ace!
The Dangerous Women Project is based at the University of Edinburgh, but is taking submissions of work from all over, with the current entry period ending this Sunday 7th August. You can check out The Dangerous Women Project via their Facebook page for more info on how to get involved, and how to submit work.
